Last weekend I was invited by Swishing to sell my jewelry on their event in Middelkerke.
It was a nice experience and I'm sure I'll do it again.

Peacock love

Recently I started a new project for myself: making jewelry with feathers.
I bought some wonderful long peacock feathers and brown feathers and made my first earrings with the peacock ones. I'm very happy with the result and I adore the colours in those beautiful feathers.

Books & Brunch

This weekend, we went to 'Books & Brunch'.
A lovely new place in Bruges, where you can eat an incredible good breakfast (or lunch) for reasonable prices! We took a breakfast with pancakes and it was just delicious!
We really enjoyed our time together there!

What is it? – Does your product have a name?

These are one-of-a-kind wallets from our Heritage Collection.

What are the materials that you used to create this? – Where did you found it?

I have utilized a men’s dress shirt for the interior of each of the wallets shown. This upcycled interior complements the eco-friendliness of cork fabric while also remaining stylish.

This is my washable kraft paper men's wallet... it doesn't have a name, but I might it, "Chad" (I'll tell you why in just a bit).

I use, as with all my other creations, washable kraft paper to make it. I've come to realize that men are always on the quest to find a thin, yet sturdy wallet. In addition, my wallet is also made of a material that is luxurious in how it feels and looks, and exotic in what it's made from. The four men in the entire world who use my wallet so far... have pretty unique wallets!

The inspiration for my wallet is the person whom I have named it after - Chad! Chad is my husband's cousin. For Christmas, I gave him a keychain made of washable kraft paper, and he later asked me if I could make him a wallet out of the same material. I did, and it turned out really nicely... so I decided to also sell it on Etsy.

Men (or even women) can use my wallet, although it's usually men that prefer the size and look/feel.

I found this quote when i was reading the blog of 'Teapots and Chatter' and i really found myself in these letters. It's been a half year now that my Etsy shop is online and i'm happy things are going good this way. I was a bit scared because not many people in Belgium know Etsy. I love the way that i have the possibility to choose when i put things online, everything is very easy to use,... To be short: it doesn't give lots of stress.

Tabitha, from Hazel&Mae,  told here before she wanted to create some vintage inspired bags for her shop. Since a few days you can find them on her facebookpage! Have you already seen them? I like this one the most.

One of my favorite shops in Bruges is Econcept!
A lovely store with designs made by hand and ecological products.
When i walk in there - first of all you smell the parfumes, that tingle my nose - i get instant inspiration!

Yesterday i went for a little shopping and couldn't resist it to go into the shop.
This week i read about a new 'competition' for creatives around Bruges (but i think if you aren't from Bruges you can also participate). You can come into the shop with your handmade/ecological product and they will see what they can do. The shopmanagers are very friendly and helpfull when you want to ask something about the products or the other things going on in Econcept.
