Another month, another Song of the month! This month I wanted to share Dirty Paws by Of Monsters and Men with you. Listening to this cd always makes me happy and that's exactly what I need lately.
This song of the month is a bit later online then expected because i'm travelling right now.. I've seen many great things until now, but i'll write about that later in a photo blog post. I wanted to share this lovely song from a 'new' Belgian artist: Renée. This song is echoing in my head ever since the moment i've heard it for the first time on Studio Brussels (Stubru: a Belgian radio channel). I like it a lot and i hope you'll like it too.
One of the songs i listen to most on my mp3 at this moment is 'Smashed birds' from Soley. This song is from her album 'We sink'. A great album! I listen to it in the car, but mostly when i'm laying in bed.
A new month again and my new song of the month! This night i brought my boyfriend to the airport, he's going to stay in the Czech Republic for 3 months. He's a student to be a teacher in arts and in that very cold land he's going to follow some special courses AND he promised me to learn some great local dishes. Yummie!
(2009)
When we were younger we loved to sing out loud the songs of Something Corporate. I couldn't resist it to add two songs of them here in this blog post.
Today is an awful day for me as this is the day my little brother died a while ago. I wanted you to listen to Jimmy Eat World's - May Angels lead you in, but i still cannot search up that song as it makes me cry every time i hear the first notes...
I always like it when artists can sing their song in different styles. Aah...he simply has it all ;) Enjoy this acoustic version of An end has a start by the Editors.
I love to follow the 'Music for life' by StuBru. The campaign of this year supports children who suffer from diarrhea, which is probably the biggest cause of death from children all over the world. Every year StuBru has an amazing campaign with lots of good music and activities to help them collect money for charity. The hosts stay in a house of glass for a couple of weeks. This year the house moves from town to town and everyday there is lots of good music on the roof or in the studio.
I like lots of bands and singer/songwriters but this song really has got me in his magic! It goes with me everywhere i go: in the car, on my mp3 player, my youtube channel, ... It has something very special and the best of it: Gotye is a Belgian singer living in Australia. Listen, look and please enjoy this song and its music video.
I like to see Gabriel Rios at work! Both the original and acoustic versions of his songs are nice. This month the acoustic song 'Dauphine', because i think it's just a little bit better than the original version.
Deze middag heb ik mijn eerste examen gehad. Het ging wat moeilijker dan verwacht, maar ik denk dat het wel goed was. Nu heb ik wat meer zin om andere mensen hun blogs te lezen met een lekker muziekje op de achtergrond.
This afternoon i had my first exam. It was a bit more difficult than i expected, but i think it'll be fine. Now i just want to read blogs from other people with a nice song on the background.
